A young Sholing side exited the Hampshire Cup after performing very well at National League side, Aldershot Town.
Team News : 6 players made their first team debuts, with the youngest being just 16 and oldest, only 20. Gos, Flooksy & Copey added some experience to the starting line up and there was also an appearance for Dom Panesar-Dower, who has been playing at Shaftsbury. Aldershot fielded their U21 side, but many of those had come from Professional clubs academies at one stage or another.
The original game way back in November was abandoned after fog engulfed the ground. It took 3 months to get the tie rearranged, leaving us very little option but to not select our strongest possible line-up during such a hectic run of fixtures.
Marco De Sousa, one of tonights debutants, brought us level at half time, sweeping home on 43 minutes after a nice build up. The home side were to score 3 times in the second half, but it was a good showing from our youngsters and great experience for them to play at a National League ground. FT 4-1
