At long last it was a sunny dry day as we got the game underway, making a bright start when Lee Wort raced onto a pass, got round the keeper on the right edge of the box, but his lifted effort was cleared away for a corner. From Charlie's corner, George Milner-Smith thumped a header against the crossbar and it was hacked clear as it came down near the line.
Marv crossed for Worty to flick goalwards, but it was saved. Byron tried to force the ball home during a scramble as the visitors rode their luck. Dan skewed a shot across the face of the goal as all the action took part in the Plymouth half for the first half hour. The visitors had a shot deflected well wide, but Bert White calmly caught the corner. HT 0-0
A sluggish restart from both sides, but it was Parkway who had a decent chance on 60 mins when Crago's 20 yard dipping shot was brilliantly tipped over the bar by Bert.
Boatmen got the breakthrough 2 minutes later. Charlie Davis' freekick on the right wing was flicked on by Dan Mason to Owen Roundell, who smartly nodded it back across goal for LEE WORT to hook the ball in from close range.
We then had two good opportunities to double our lead. Lee Wort did superbly to firstly keep the ball in on the touchline and then pick out the arriving Jake Hesketh, but his first time shot was well saved by Adam Parkes. It was the same combination soon after, Worty racing clear and feeding the overlapping Hesketh who blasted just wide of the upright.
Charlie Davis shot over whilst off balance as we looked pretty comfortable to secure the win. However, in the second minute of stoppage time a good cross by Toby Downs on the left was met with a glancing header by Dylan Jones giving Bert no chance. FT 1-1
