Dave Diaper statement

"As I prepare to embark on a new chapter in my football journey I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for the incredible journey we’ve shared over the last 25 years.

It has been an honour and privilege to manage this club and the countless players across the years and I really appreciate the support you’ve all shown me throughout my tenure.

I have had the pleasure of witnessing the growth and success of this club, sharing way more ups than downs with both players and supporters and creating memories that will last a lifetime. Together we’ve been through over 1200 games and the Sholing family’s unwavering dedication has been the driving force behind our accomplishments.

My last game will be October 21st then I am stepping into my new role of Head of Football Operations at Sholing and I’m delighted to announce that I am appointing Paul Doswell as our new first team manager.  I’ve personally known Paul for over 30 years and watched him manage at the highest level of non league football and we are excited to welcome Paul to the club.

Whilst this may mark a change in my role, it’s by no means a goodbye. I remain deeply invested in the continued success and growth of this club and I’m really looking forward to working with Paul and creating a new and exciting next chapter in the club's history.

On a final note it would be remiss of me not to thank my wonderful family who have shown unwavering support in this 25 year journey. My wife Helen, daughter Claire and Marc have been a massive part of my journey and I thank them from the bottom of my heart.

Thank you for your faith in me and your passion for our club. The Sholing family will forever hold a special place in my heart and I look forward to continuing our journey and seeing what the future holds for us all."
